Wings of knowledge: Empowering youth to improve their rural communities

Olinga Learning’s compelling story demonstrates how a grassroots initiative which grew out of a JY group and the desire to respond to the needs of the community has garnered the attention of the local schools and local university, who are eager to connect this initiative with both lower grades students and educators’ development programs. What is so different about this initiative? The Bahá’í-inspired conception of human nature that undergirds Olinga Learning’s efforts with junior youth, producing a qualitatively different kind of engagement and service.
